1ST SHAMS-UL-HAQUE CRICKET TROPHY 2009

09/02/2009 Management of United Marine Agencies (Pvt) Limited organized the 1st Shams-ul-Haque Cricket Trophy 2009 for commemorating the dedication and love of Mr. Shams-ul-Haque for the company and its employees at Defense Authority Zamzama Club Ground ,Defense Phase 5 Khayaban-e-Shamsher Near Saudi Embassy (Delton’s) on Saturday 7th February 2009. Main purpose of organizing such event was to entertain its employees which can result in high morale of all employees. It was a day-night tournament with four teams participating. They were UMA Blues, UMA Reds, UMA Greens and UMA Yellows. Final match was played between UMA Blues and UMA Greens. Most thrilling moment was the entry of Mr. Sohail Shams as a bowler from UMA Greens who took 2 wickets on his first 2 deliveries. The match was finally won by UMA Blues. Mr. & Mrs. Sohail Shams were the chief guest for the event. Prize distribution ceremony was held after the final match in which the Winning team, UMA Blues was awarded 1st Shams-ul-Haque Trophy. Three trophies were also awarded to Best Batsmen, Best Bowler and Best Fielder of the tournament plus the runner up trophy to UMA Greens. After the prize distribution ceremony Mr. Sohail Shams recalled the efforts of his father Late Mr. Shams-ul-Haque in wake to nurture United Marine Agencies (Pvt) Ltd. In the end he appreciated the hard work and dedicated efforts of all employees due to which UMA has transformed into a leading company in shipping industry. He urged the employees to work with more dedication, sincerity and professionalism to meet the challenges by rapidly growing business activities. Show All
